KB20230000/01: Best Practice Processes for System Maintenance

Routine System Maintenance:

• Ensure all system processes are working and errors are resolved.
• Ensure you system is being backed up. Speak to your IT team or service provider to ensure this is the case. Ensure backups are kept daily for a week, weekly backup for a month, monthly backups for a year and 5 year-end backups.
• Ensure users that is no longer using the system is deactivated.
• Ensure users change their password often. If your system can force password changes and force complex passwords then use that function.
• Ensure all system processes are clean of errors. With Sage X3 the Accounting Tasks must be clean. Run your re-links and Resyncs on a regular basis.
