Some companies on Sage X3 might use a third-party Payroll system like Sage 300 People and manually import their Payroll journals into Sage X3.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1) These journals can be thousands of lines and might exceed the maximum journal lines that Sage X3 allow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2) The Sage X3 standard maximum is 10900 and if you increase higher than that you will get import errors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Below is the solution how to increase that limit.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you import a journal with thousands of lines, you might get the below error (this means you have to increase the number of journal lines that you can import).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you increase the GAS<\/strong> – Number of accounting entry lines<\/em> pass the system limit of 10900 lines and run the Dictionary validation for the relevant Activity code, you will get the below errors when importing the journal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To successfully increase the number of journal lines that the system will allow to import you have to increase the below Activity codes respectively and perform a Dictionary validation after each Activity code increase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GAS<\/em><\/strong> – Number of accounting entry lines = 28 000<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

VTP<\/em><\/strong> – Number of distributions per journals = 31 500<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

VTL<\/em><\/strong> – Number of breakdowns per lines = 1 200<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now when you import the massive journal, you will no longer experience the above-mentioned errors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
