this exercise we going to split an asset that is linked to a R50 000 invoice into 4 additional assets which will give a total of 5 assets after the split.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The Split window will open to the splitting criteria must be entered.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the split effective date.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The reason for the split.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The enter number of assets after the split, in this example the asset will generate \u201c<strong>5<\/strong>\u201d assets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure \u201c<strong>Split expense<\/strong>\u201d is selected to split all the linked capital expenses as well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select how the new assets must be numbered.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>None \u2013 User must manually enter the references on the lines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add a numeric increment \u2013 prefix will the original reference with a numbering at the end.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New number \u2013 the system will generate completely new references based on the sequence setup assigned to assets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on \u201cSplit\u201d on the right panel to see the results.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The descriptions and amount proportions can be modified for each asset as long as the total cost balance back to the original
